Palace of Fine Arts

About six months ago, I took a photography class with Tim Baskerville at the Harvey Milk Photo Center. To be honest, I chose that particular class because another one was already full, but it ended up being one of my favorite programs. Patience, precision, and an ability to withstand the cold are not my strong suits, but I have really enjoyed getting out there in the dark. Night photography is actually pretty easy once you have the right setup, and the results with a DSLR are great –  as good as their cameras are, you can’t get good night shots with an iPhone. Here is a quintessential San Francisco night shot at the Palace of Fine Arts. Naveen and I went here on my birthday (after finally riding those yellow GoCars around the city) so I could snap a couple pics.

For more of my night shots around SF, here is a set on Flickr.
