Sunday Morning in Old City

After working all week (which is usually 6 days here, not 5), all I wanted to do was lay in bed all morning. Somehow though, I was able to get myself up at 6:45am and head down to Old City for a morning “Heritage Walk”. We walked around the city, learning about different architecture, mosques, temples, etc. Of course I didn’t hear too much because I was busy taking photos. I loved watching the city suddenly wake up – streets going from deserted (apart from the lounging animals) to jam packed within a half an hour. I couldn’t stop watching, so these photos skips the temples and pretty much just show the streets – cows and all!

For this post’s random “fact” about Indian culture: Indian’s will pretty much always answer “yes” to any yes or no question. It doesn’t matter if you ask them to do something and they really don’t want to do it, or if you ask if this is where something is and it is definitely not where it is located. Yes is the answer! Apparently they just don’t want to be rude, but I’m thinking that maybe Indians just take the “Yes Man” movie philosophy a little too seriously…
